Since when is the property tax the only way to raise cash? I'm thinking that the "elected leaders" in this California town are acting like children. They have a problem. You do not solve a problem by taking a "Time-out". - 2Q(Jim)

GEORGIA AVOIDS BANKRUPTCY - IMPOSES SURCHARGE
"Soaring fuel prices have forced one police force in the US to increase fines for offending motorists.

…motorists caught in Holly Springs, Georgia, will have to pay an extra $12 (£6) to cover the costs of police chasing them down.
